“Who are we ? Who are Thursdayriot? Why must I care to them?”
The best way to answer that question are we have to tell you who we are. For you who don’t know and do know either. We’ll tell you the history behind Thursdayriot.
Thursdayriot is 4 metalheads that make a different sound from other. We come from Bandung, Indonesia. Thursdayriot, or we can call them TR, was formed on January 6, 2008, with the first formation Fauzan (vocal), Albert (guitar), Yoga (bass) and Ucok (drum). At the first, they played numbers like Jeruji, Seringai often Lamb of God. Ucok just stay for a little time before he chose to resign from TR.
After Ucok had resigned, TR got Japra as a new drummer and also Fahmi as an another guitarist. We started to make own song, and the first song is Fall. Fall is just like our first soul and you can hear the progress from this first song. But, in 2011 Japra resigned from TR. And for now, we use an additional drummer.
A lot of moments we had. And the which one is in the middle of 2009, a record label from Malaysia contacted us. They were very interested to our music, they offered us to make a mini album, a little tour in Malaysia and all of cost. But, with a few of consideration, we chose to reject the offer.
In music context, we have a lot of influences. We heard sounds of Metallica, Slayer, Decrepit Birth, Sylosis, Doomriders, Down, As I lay Dying and etc. We also covered Metallica song from St. Anger album. With our taste and our style, we changed the colour of that song.
Our song concerned to many social thing especially wars, the thing that we think is endless.
In the end of 2011, we have a plan to release our songs in E.P format with the title ‘Human and War Stories’ (tentative). Long ways to get this part, but we promise that you will be regret if you don’t hear. But now, you can hear one song from that E.P here.
